Ford government is reversing its Greenbelt giveaway
As Mike Schreiner said , This is people power in action.
The fight for our Greenbelt was hard fought...but we won!
Thanks to the millions of Ontarians who raised their voices – who held rallies, signed petitions, wrote to their MPPs, and talked with friends and family. It was an amazing accomplishment.
Now we need to ensure that it never happens again.
It is critical that we continue to put the pressure on this government institutions to do the right thing:
We need to continue the call for a public inquiry into the Greenbelt scandal
Support the Greenbelt Protection Bill
Push back on the Ford government's sprawl agenda (Waterloo and Halton regions, HWY 413, Bradford Bypass to name a few)

October 14 Harvest Walk in Memory of Jennifer (Jenni) Le Forestier
A major Stop Highway 413/Protect the Greenbelt event will be held in Bolton, beginning at 10 am. on October 14, 2023. The protest will merge two groups, walking from different locations, to meet at the Bolton Mill Park and walk on to King and Queen streets for a rally.
One large group will be walking from the Caledon Public Library in Bolton, 150 Queen Street South, to downtown Bolton. A second group will be walking south from the ball diamonds at the Caledon Recreation Centre, 14111 Hwy 50. The DCGreens will be joining this second group.

The Province of Ontario is holding zoom presentations on Highway 413 in Peel, York and Halton. There are two more zoom sessions for public feedback on the 413 coming up. Please register for the appropriate session:
October 3, 2023 – Halton Region

October 5, 2023 – Peel Region
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
